The kitchen is a room
We stopped designing kitchens the day we started designing the rooms they live inside.
A kitchen is a piece of architecture, not furniture. We draw it at the scale of the wall that holds it, light it as carefully as a gallery, and finish it in the same materials as the rest of the house.
